37.1 Fundamentals of Insurance
While no one can actually predict life expectancy, and the game can’t take existing medical conditions into account, the factors you’ll encounter do have a significant impact on longevity.
- Based on the game, what risks can decrease your life expectancy?
- The cost of a life insurance policy is partially based on risk assessment. Please rank the top three risks that you think affect the cost of life insurance. Explain why you chose the answers you did.

1. Smoking, dringing, high blood pressure, reckless driving, no exercise and bad eating habbits.
2. Lack of exercise, don’t find time, poor eating habbits, don’t always eat the healthiest, and stress, becuase people can be hard to work with
1. Blood Pressure, Diet, Job risks, Driving Record, Drug/Alcohol Use.
2. Job/Career
Diet
Drug/Cigarette Use
I choose these answers because each affects how healthy you are. If you have a really dangerous job you would be more likely to die than someone who works behind a desk. Also if you have a bad diet or use drugs you are much more likely to die than some one who takes care of themselves.
1. smoking, drinking, not driving carefully, not eating properly.
2. if you smoke
if you drink
if you eat correct
I chose these three things because they are the ones the insurance agency would look at before they allow you to be covered by them.
this is me!!
1. Drinking, Smoking, amount of exersice, family history, driving violations, and how you eat.
2.Drinking, Smoking, and family history. They will look at these first because they deeply affect your life. If you drink or smoke that will shorten your life dramatically and can cause cancer. If your family history isnt good, that is not good for you because it is most likely that you will inherrit it.
1. Smoking, Drinking, poor nutrition, if you’re male, no exercise, doing drugs, reckless driving, high blood pressure.
2. I think smoking affects the cost of life insurance because you are most likely to get cancer or have a heart attack and die earlier if you smoke.
1. Smoking, Drinking, Diet, High blood pressure, bad driving, exercise.
2. Smoking because it raises chance of lung cancer.
High Blood Pressure because it raises chances of a heart defect.
Drinking because people do stupid thinks when they are intoxicated
1. Drinking, drugs, abnormal blood pressure, smoking, reckless driving, bad diet and excercise.
2. Health Conditions
Diet/Excercise
Drugs/acohol
I choose Health conditions first because the conditions you already have would affect your other risks! Diet and Excercise will greatly affect your health and Your drug use will add to your health conditions!
1. Drug/Alcohol abuse, Smoking, Diet, Exercise
2. Exercise or lack of – exercising regularly increase your health
Job – Your job can cause stress causing your health to get worse
Poor eating habits – Eating “junk” food is not good for your health
1. Smoking, drinking, stress, not on a healthy diet, no exercise, reckless driver, alcohol, drugs.
2. Drugs and alcohol, not a healthy diet, smoking. I chose this order because drugs and alcohol because it can wear down your body fast, not being on a diet or eating healthy isn’t good cause
you will become fat, and smoking is bad for your lungs and could later kill you.
1. Smoking, Stress, not active, Alcohol, Blood preasure
2. Blood preasure can cause you to have high risk of heart defect, Smoking because you can get cancer form it, and if you eat alot of fat food it will make you health bad.
1. Smoking, drinking, drugs, high blood pressure, driving accidents, unhealthy diet, no exercise.
2. lack of excercise- can shorter your life dramatically, or extend it dramatically.
Smoking- smoking is a major problem and does nothing good for the body, I think if you smoke your life insurance will go up.
the number of accidents you are in can raise your insurance a lot because if you are in a lot its not good for your body and one of the next times you may die.
